Hi guys. We've tried some things here to remote access my Mariadb on Issabel via HeidiSQL, but no one have worked.

Could you help me on how to properly grant access to a remote user on MariaDB?

Thank you but doesn't work yet. The message is "can't connect to the server".

tpedjunior Hi, you must check the rules of firewall and permit access from your IP or any network.

I can't even find the 50-server.cnf on the installation.

The external access via security group on AWS is configured to my ip on 3306 port.
Firewalld service isn't running on the instance, just the Issabel firewall and Fail2ban.
The user I've created has access to % and SELECT permission to the database.

Do you have any idea on what's going on?

For the ones that have the same issue as me, the solution is to create a firewall rule inside issabel gui opening the 3306 port to the IPs you need. Doing that the issue is resolved.
