I would like your assistance on how to troubleshoot the below issue. I have experience with other Asterisk-based PBXes but, I am new to Issabel.
So, I replicated the issue on two different installations, one production one and one in my lab. I downloaded the latest image, I selected Asterisk 11 during setup and, I also installed the Call Center add-on/ module but, this is not related to the issue. I host the PBX locally.
Incoming Calls Routing: SIP Trunk >> Ring Group with no announcement >> Ringing of 5 extensions concurrently. This was the initial setup and it was working fine. Ten days ago, the customer asked to add a welcome message as well as to have the ability to directly dial extensions. I considered this request trivial, I created an IVR and I added the announcement there. Now the route is SIP Trunk >> IVR >> Ring Group ...
Yesterday the customer notified me that when they try to pick up a call with **extension, the call stops ringing on the phones that are the ring group members, it appears momentarily on the phone that executed the direct pickup and then it drops. I tested with Grandstream GRP2615 phones as well as with microsip on Windows.
I tested extensively and I want I found is that when an announcement is present somewhere in the call route (to the IVR and/or the ring group) the call drops! I tried sending the incoming call directly to the Ring Group. With an announcement configured the pickup call again drops. I tried inserting a silent IVR between both in the beginning on the incoming call route as well as between the IVR and the Ring Group, again it makes no difference. When I remove the announcement, I can successfully pick up the call.
In Asterisk command line I could not see any difference or an error message etc
The recording file is compatible. I can hear from the phone without issues.
Is this a known issue? How we can troubleshoot it?
