Hi!

Is there any way to use virtualfax with a t38 modem? I believe that iaxmodem doesn't support t38.

I would like to use a Sip Trunk from a provider for faxing without any real fax machine.

Not sure how it would play with hylafax/iaxmodem installed but you can try the suggestions at the following link.

So populate /etc/asterisk/udptl_custom.conf as explained at the above link for udptl.conf. Then go to unembeddedPBX > Settings > Asterisk SIP Settings > T38 passthrough and enable. Then you may need to add the other settings in Other SIP Settings at the bottom. Then create a none virtual extension with Fax enabled (do that in UnembeddedPBX, not in Issabel PBX.

Yeah, but with that article we are only thinking about "receiving fax" with a "virtual fax". I would like to send faxes.

With my current config, where I use IAX modem, it doesn't support t38 and that's why, I believe, it fails to send faxes...
