I inherited two separate Issabel PBX years ago when layoffs made me the only IT staff member at my company. I am only a tier 1 helpdesk tech but I've been doing my best to learn issabel to keep things going. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to make this particular thing work and it's recently become a big problem for my company (and now me): Direct dialing an extension on the other PBX from an IVR.
If you dial 800 number A and get the IVR on PBX A then the caller cannot dial an extension for someone on PBX B. The reverse is also true (Dialing 800 number B and getting IVR on PBX B you cannot dial an ext on PBX A). You can still direct dial an extension that's on your current PBX.
The extensions on PBX A all are the format 1XXX and the ext on PBX B are all formatted 2XXX so we know what system they are on. I was able to setup an inner office trunk on both PBX so that you can pick up any phone on any system and dial anyone's ext. But I can't get it to work from an IVR so outside callers can't direct dial half our ext.
