I have been installing Issabel 4 both the 2017 and 2018 iso into HyperV clients and have had no problems. The only issue I have had is the call center application doesn't work under Asterisk 13.
Today I have been trying to install it onto a physical machine and have had some issues.
When starting the install from a USB flash drive which I created with rufus I noticed that the network would not auto configure, the software selection was not made and the timezone was not set. I manually set these and the installation carried on as per normal. When I went to boot, the compiling geoip screen did not appear, after setting the mysql and admin password, I could not access the login screen. The firewall was not configured correctly and even after correcting this I was still unable to access the login screen. In the http error log I was getting these errors.
error: cannot open Packages index using db5 - Permission denied (13)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
I have burnt the same 2018 ISO to a DVD and am installing from it now, there problems listed above did not show this time. The installation worked as expected and I can access the system.
Has anyone else had this type of problem?
